Limite Zero is a genuine one-of-a-kind: the only zip-line in the world that crosses an international border. The 720-metre cable launches from the hillside below Sanlúcar de Guadiana's castle in Spain and carries riders over the Guadiana at 70-80 km/h, landing on the Portuguese bank just outside Alcoutim — and, because Portugal runs an hour behind, you arrive an hour 'earlier' than you left.
From the landing it is a five-minute walk to Alcoutim's pier, where a small ferry — included in the ticket — carries you back across the river to Spain. It has turned this sleepy frontier into a bucket-list stop, a 60-second flight that is part adrenaline, part geography lesson, with the twin villages and their castles laid out below.
