Carvoeiro Beach & Village — Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro Beach & Village

🎟️ €0 🕐 Mon-Sun

Carvoeiro is built around its beach the way a theatre is built around a stage: a compact golden cove at the foot of the village square, framed by ochre cliffs with white houses climbing both slopes — one of the most photographed views in southern Europe.

The beach itself is small and family-gentle, with fishing boats still hauled onto the sand (their owners run summer grotto trips to Benagil from here), lifeguards in season, and the village's cafés and restaurants beginning a beach-towel's throw from the water. The square behind hosts summer concerts and the New Year fireworks the Algarve drives to see.

Arrive early in August or out of season — the cove's charm never closes, but its sand is finite.
