What to see
Spend a morning at the ruins of Conímbriga: walk along the Roman road and the walls, and see the House of the Fountains and the House of Cantaber. The monographic museum shows coins, statues and objects of daily life. Follow the Roman aqueduct towards its source at Alcabideque. In town, the modern PO.RO.S museum brings Roman Portugal to life, and in the hills the Buracas do Casmilo are huge natural cavities in the limestone.
